Sender Policy Framework, or SPF, is a verification system, that is designed to prevent the so-called email spoofing where an e-mail message is sent from one email, but to seem as being sent from another, typically with the idea to scam the recipient someway. If SPF protection is enabled for a domain, a special record is generated for it in the Domain Name System and all of the DNS servers worldwide get it. The record includes all the mail servers that are allowed to send legitimate messages from an e-mail address under the domain. When a message is sent, the first DNS server it encounters checks the SPF record and if the sending server is permitted, the message is forwarded to the targeted destination. When, however, the sending server doesn't exist in the SPF record for the specified domain, the e-mail message will not be submitted and it will be discarded. In case you employ this service, it will stop third parties from sending spam messages which appear to have been sent from you.

SPF Protection in Cloud Hosting

SPF protection can be enabled for each domain name hosted in a cloud hosting account on our cloud platform with no more than a few clicks. The feature can be found in the Emails section of our exceptional Hepsia Control Panel and all you need to enable it is to pick one of your domains from the drop-down menu and type in the hostnames as well as the IPv4 or IPv6 addresses of the mail servers which will be certified to send email messages from your email addresses. As an additional option you can also restrict the email messages to be sent from your domain name only if it includes our MX records, in other words when our servers manage the e-mail addresses for it, not some third-party supplier. This feature will provide you with the top level of security, but it's not applicable when only your site is on our servers while the email addresses for the domain name are managed somewhere else. Either way, the SPF protection service will keep your email addresses protected from being used for spam and/or scam purposes.
